No blog posts

I'm currently in Australia taking care of the family. So therefore I probably won't be writing that much here. Can say that we're going to the city tomorrow (Melbourne) to stay in a new hotel and have a nice dinner at Maze though. I'm really looking forward to that. Here's some info on the hotel:

Sunshine

Have had a lovely day in the sun today. It was actually really warm outside, about 18 degrees according to the thermometer. I got to try the new Magnum Gold as well. Really nice to be honest. You should try it if you get the chance.

Shutter Island

Just finished watching Shutter Island. Great movie with Leonardo DiCaprio. I can definitely recommend it to the people who likes scary and unpredictible movies.

Sunday coffee

I just came back from a Sunday 'fika' with the girls. We found a very nice little French place called 'Pompadour' with a lot of different cakes and chocolates. I can recommend a visit there for the ones that are in Amsterdam. It was a nice thing to do on a Sunday afternoon, especially since the weather isn't that good today. I think I'm gonna head off to the gym now so I don't have to do it tomorrow. =)

Here are some pictures from the place and of the lovely cheesecake with raspberries and meringue that I ate. Yum yum.

Saturday night sushi and bad mood Sunday

Yesterday we had, a so called, Japanese evening. We made sushi and drank sake. It was my first time drinking sake and I don't really think it was bad but it wasn't that good either. The sushi turned out alright but we made quite a lot so now we have some to have for lunch today aswell. Overall it was a good night. Finally managed to book a hotel for our trip to London aswell. I actually managed to book two rooms but I think we'll be able to cancel one of them. Stupid computers.

From the left: Ebi furai maki, Tuna and cucumber maki, Salmon and avocado maki.

Making maki

Today I'm in a very bad mood for some stupid reason. I didn't sleep very well since our neighbours started making noise at around one o'clock and then it went on until about four o'clock. So my sleep was very up and down. I really just feel like going back to bed and sleep this day away but I'm gonna try to make it better instead.

Quick trip to IKEA

Today has been an eventful day. Not really actually but we got some things done.
Finally we went and bought me a bike. I've been looking at this special one for a while now but the didn't have it in stock so I had to wait for it. But today I got it. It's pretty and it looks really new so I hope that no one steals it. We also went to IKEA. We basically ran through the whole store...men and IKEA is not a good combination. Anyway, I got what I came there for and we also had a 'fika' in the restaurant there. I had a small princesscake and Bo had some hot chips.
When we came to the city we went around getting things for tonight. We're having a bit of a Japanese night tonight. We're making sushi and we also bought sake. For the sake we also bought a set with some cups and a flask or 'tokkuri' as it is called in Japanese. I've never had sake before so we'll see whether I like it or not.

I'll put a photo up of my bike tomorrow or some other day since I haven't had time to fix it or take a photo yet.

Unbelievable

I really don't know why I torture myself by watching Grey's Anatomy week after week, when it only makes me cry like a baby and get me even more scared of death...

Now...off to the gym.

Teapot

I finally managed to bring home (to Amsterdam) my Bodum teapot with a press. We've already used it many times and it is so good. Now we just need to buy some more loose tea so that we can use it even more.

Karlskrona - food, drinks, family, friends and baby. Part 2

Saturday started with a big breakfast (as did all the other days as well) and then we went to the city to try to find a leather jacket for Bowen. We found one that was on sale so it was pretty cheap and very nice. After that we saw my friend Åsa and had a nice chat over a cup of coffee. Haven't seen her in a while so it was good to catch up. Later on it was time for some partying. First we went to my youngest brother's place to have some beer and pizza. At around 8 we went to the party which was very nice. They had free drinks, snacks, live music, fake mustaches, skipping ropes and a lot of fun people. Had a great time but went home pretty early anyway.

Sunday was pretty calm but good. Went to the supermarket to get some things to bring home to Amsterdam and I also got to see my little niece and her parents once again. This time I got to hold her for a long while.

Now I'm back to reality in Amsterdam and I'm off to work tomorrow. Bowen is off work tomorrow...bastard.

Karlskrona - food, drinks, family, friends and baby

We got home from a very good Easter weekend. Came to Karlskrona on Thursday afternoon, the evening was spent eating fondue at one of the best restaurants in town. It was delicious but unfortunately I was not very hungry. On Friday we spent the day just wondering around a little bit, meeting my old friend for a short while. She made me a lovely bracelet which you can see on the photo below.

Friday evening was spent at home with my family. We had a very nice dinner and I finally got to see and hold my little niece who is now 10 days old. She is the cutest and the softest little creature. I couldn't stop touching her because she was so soft. Definitely need to go home and see her soon again. Here are some photos from Friday evening as well.

Sweden tomorrow

Yey, finally some time off work. These past weeks have been dreadful for some weird reason. I've just been really tired and down. But I got half a day off today and I'm off for the rest of the week. After work today, I met up with Bo in the city and we went to have sushi, yum yum. Then I've just been packing and fixing stuff at home. Tomorrow it's time to go to the airport and head off to Sweden to see the family, including my newly born niece. Can't wait. She looks so cute and soft in the pictures that I've seen. Hope you'll all have a very nice Easter!

Bad.

Hi all,
Now I've been bad with updating the blog again. I've been really bored and tired this week so I don't really feel like there was anything good to write about. Anyway...
Yesterday I was at Malins place eating some food, drinking some wine and just chatting. Exactly what I like to do on a Saturday night. After that we went out for a while but I actually went home quite early. Today I'm just gonna relax.
I also got a little niece this week. So now I'm an aunt. I'm gonna go see her next week when we go home for Easter. I'm very excited.
I'm really looking forward going to Sweden next week. I think it'll be a good trip.

Visit, birthday and champagne

It's been a good weekend. On Friday I picked up my brother at the airport and that evening we we're just at home drinking some beer and hanging out. Yesterday started off exactly the way I would want my birthday to start out; some champagne and a good breakfast. People who know me well would know that champagne is my favourite drink and I absolutely love it. After the wonderful breakfast we went for a little stroll around town. Unfortunately is was raining a bit so it wasn't that much fun to just walk around. Therefore we ended up going to the Heineken Brewery which turned out to be quite alright. You get 2½ beers for the entrance fee that you pay which is always nice. In the evening we went to a restaurant and had some dinner and after that we went to a pub and just had some beers and relaxed. Today has been a good day as well. It's been really nice weather so we went to Dam Square and had some lunch and beer in the sun. It was indeed lovely. The conclusion is that this weekend has been great!
Here are some photos as well.

Airport

Hi,
right now I'm at the airport waiting for my brother. It's been a crazy week and I'm glad that it's over. Now I'm gonna enjoy the weekend and hopefully celebrate my birthday really good.
I really love airports. So many different people to look at.
