Michael Clayton

Ok, I didn't really succeed with my list today since I only managed to do one thing on it and I didn't really do that very well. It's been raining non stop all day so that's kind of an excuse for not doing anything, right?

Now it's time for popcorn and a movie. The movie is called Michael Clayton and has George Clooney in it, so even if it's not that good at least there's something nice to look at.

Just another day

It feels like I'm the only one awake in the whole city. It's so quiet.
Today I have a few things to do; I need to go to the gym, need to make an appointment for a haircut, need to clean since I didn't do that on Friday and I need to book tickets to Stockolm in April. I doubt that I'll do all of these things so we'll see which one I "forget". Can't believe that it's already March tomorrow, feels like it was just Christmas not that long ago.

Buns

I've spent all afternoon making buns; cinnamon buns and apple/cinnamon buns. They actually turned out pretty good.

1. Normal cinnamon buns 2. Apple/cinnamon buns

Lazy Saturday

Good morning,
I'm not feeling that good today and it's all my own fault. Went to after work last night and I was telling myself that I shouldn't drink too much. Of course I drank way too much and since I don't drink that much anymore I can't handle as much as I used to so today I have a bit of a headache.
Now we're going to the asian supermarket to buy some more rice and maybe find some other good things. See you later.

This country is weird

I'm about to have some lunch. I was looking in the freezer to see if we had anything good since there were no left-overs from last night. There I found some hot dogs that I bought at IKEA a while ago so I decided to have that. Of course I needed some buns with the hot dogs so I went to the store just across the street and I got so happy because I thought I had found hot dog buns without a minced sausage inside (they like that a lot here, it's a so call 'sausage roll'). I did even have a look at the ingredients and it looked like it was only ingredients for bread in it BUT when I've preheated the oven and took the buns out of the pack to put them in the oven, I could feel that they were not that soft in the middle. I opened one of them and of course there was something that was supposed to be a sausage inside...so I had to throw them out and now I have to eat my hot dogs without any buns. Damn....

Dreams

I really want some hot weather now. I've gotten to a point where I've started listening to Beach Boys and those songs have real summer feeling. I should just stop thinking about it really because it's not gonna happen anytime soon.

Wish I was here

Spring is just around the corner...

...or at least I really hope so. Today when I walked home from the metro the thermometer showed +9 degrees. I can really feel the spring closing in on us and I hope it gets even warmer soon because I'm so fed up with wearing winter jacket and boots.

Excercise

Today I went to the gym straight after work. It was the first time in over a month so I didn't think I was gonna be able to do very much. I actually manage to do more than I expected, much more, so I am very happy with myself. I think I'm gonna try to take the gym clothes to work more often and go straight after work because it's probably the only time I will go. I have big problems with getting myself to the gym but once I'm there it feels so good and afterwards it feels even better. So that and saving money will be my goal from now on. We'll see how it goes.

Now it's time for some mint tea.

Payday

Ahh, payday today. It's always such a relief when that money comes in to your account. Even though I'm not completely broke at the end of every month it's still a nice feeling to have even more money than before. I know I say pretty much every payday but this time I'm actually going to try really, really hard not to spend too much money. From now on I'm going to try to save money every month. I really hope I'll succeed this time.

I got to take some semlor home from Anna's place yesterday so today we had semlor for dessert. They were not that big but they were really nice.

Now I'm gonna try to sew together a hole in one of Bowens sweaters. I'm not very good at sewing, especially when I don't have good tools, so we'll see how it goes.

Hope you're having a nice Monday evening!

Semlor and good company

Today has been a fairly slow day. Started with me deciding that I was going to the gym. That decision ended in the gutter since I didn't go.
I did spend some wonderful hours with my Swedish girls. We made semlor and ate scones and just talked about life. That's really something you should do every Sunday afternoon. Maybe not eating semlor but at least see friends and talk a lot. So, other than that I haven't done anything today and I therefore don't have that much to write about. I give you a nice song, perfect for a Sunday evening...soo good.

Swabbing matters

Today we finally went and got me a mop. I've been wanting it for a while since the one we had before was shit. So now I've just swabbed the floor in the kitchen and it now looks spotlessly clean.

Gosh, my life is exciting

New necklace

I got this necklace in the mail two days ago. I ordered it a month ago so they're not the quickest ones, but at least I got it and I really like it.

I got it from:

Productive day and dinner

It's been a fairly good day today. I got lots of things done. Did some cleaning, washing, grocery shopping and some other necessary things.

Cleaning Friday

Hi everyone,

I've just been cleaning the apartment. I think I'm gonna make it my Friday routine because it is so much easier if you do it every week than to do it once a month or however often I do it. By doing this, you don't have to get super exhausted and it doesn't take a whole day. So we'll see how it goes. Now, time for some Wii and then I'm gonna have a shower.

Tired

I've been so tired this week. Therefore I haven't updated that much but here is a song that makes me very happy at the moment. It might be a bit old but I don't listen to the radio that much so I miss a lot of the new music.

I'll write more tomorrow.

iPhone...again

Here are some "requested" pictures of my new phone. Enjoy!

Morgonpasset P3

Every week I download the podcast with the best of the week from Morgonpasset P3 (Swedish radio show). I wish I could listen to it at work but for some reason I can't listen to Swedish radio there. Anyway, I seriously can't listen to it in public. They're so funny that I actually break out laughing in the metro when I'm all by myself. I feel a bit embarressed to be honest but at least I'm having fun. I'm definitely recommending that...for people who understands Swedish of course. =)

It was so cold on the metro home today. I think my fingers are still frozen and I've been home for about ten minutes now. Brr...

iPhone

Today, finally, I got myself an iPhone and I'm writing on it now.

iPhone or not iPhone...that is the question

I'm sitting here thinking about getting an iPhone and I really can't decide. It's quite expensive. 29,95 euros/month for 2 years and on top of that you pay 99,95 euros up front. I do really want one. I kinda "need" a new phone and I also "need" a new iPod and here you get two things in one so maybe it isn't that bad after all. And it does have unlimited internet. I think I'm gonna have to call my advisors, they can always help me.

500 readers

Hi,
Earlier today I passed the 500 readers line. Not very much but I'm not really expecting much so I'm happy. Congratulations to me!

A clean home is a healthy home...or something

I've spent all afternoon listening to music and cleaning some of the apartment. It is not a very nice job, takes ages. I still have the most annoying part left; the kitchen. But I'll leave that and the bedrooms until tomorrow. Yes, I only cleaned the livingroom but seriously, it takes ages!!! Anyway, now I'm going to cook some dinner and then I'm just going to relax in front of the TV with a cold beer.

It doesn't look like much but it's very clean for being this home.

Sunset

Even though I really want it to be summer soon; mostly for the heat but also for the fact that the days are longer, it is really nice to be able to sit on the metro home from work and watch the sunset. It keeps me going for the rest of the evening...for sure.

6 o'clock

Good morning!

6 o'clock is when I get up every morning (or at least Monday - Thursday). I usually have a bit of a sleep-in on Fridays since I only work four hours. Today it was extra difficult to get up since I haven't slept that well. I keep having weird dreams and waking up in the middle of the night. And today I have a bad pain in my back as well.

Right now I'm enjoying my breakfast. Today I'm having:
Oatmeal with frozen blue- and raspberries.
Knäckebröd with turkeyfilet
Big glas of water with lemon squeeze

I've seen in some magazines that drinking water with lemon in the morning is suppose to be good for your metabolism. I have no idea if it's true but why not.

I'm off to work now. I really hope it's going to be a good day.

My oatmeal before I mix it all up and it doesn't look very nice anymore

Home sweet home

Ahh, finally back in my own house again. Even though I really enjoy visiting my family and my old home town it's always very nice to come back to your own routines and every day life. Had a great time in Sweden though. There was so much snow everywhere. I got to see my little doggy finally.
Here are some photos from the weekend.

My precious

What I brought back from Sweden:

Chips, spices, dipmix, hairspray, wax strips, bearnaisesauce, big bag of lollies, migraine pills and tights.

Up and away

I'm heading off to the airport pretty soon. Need to be there on time since I need to check in my bag and etc. So I've had my daily portion of oatmeal and am now almost ready to go.

HERE I COME SWEDEN!

Weather influences

Today has been a pretty good day. The sun has been shining and even though it's been quite boring at work the day went pretty fast anyway. I've really noticed since I moved here that my mood really changes depending on the weather. If the sun is shining I am happy and feel good but if it's raining all day (like yesterday) I feel like shit and am not very pleasant to be around.

I only have one working day left this week. I'm off on Friday and on Monday next week because I'm going to Sweden. I'm actually looking forward to it very much. Haven't been home in Karlskrona in a while so it's gonna be nice. My flight leaves on Friday morning so I really hope the weather Gods are on their best behaviour.

Cheesecake and Shelock Holmes

I've had such a great weekend, apart from getting sick again of course. Once again I'm looking like Rudolph with the red nose. It sucks. The weekend was really good anyway though. No stress or anything. It was perfect.

Last night Bowen made lentil curry and for desert we had cheesecake. First time I've made cheesecake in the oven, I've made frozen ones before. It didn't turn out the best way possible though, but I think it was mostly the recipe's fault and not mine. =)

We also watched Sherlock Holmes. The new movie with Jude Law (yum) and Robert Downey Jr. It was actually really good. I was a bit sceptic from the beginning but I actually liked it a lot.
